Despite a career-threatening shoulder injury, which forced him out of action in 2007-08, he persevered and has represented India multiple times in world events, including Olympics.

A fine soldier and excellent marksman, Subedar Tarundeep Rai ji has not only made his paltan 5/8 Gorkha Rifles proud, but he is the source of pride and inspiration for Gorkhas across India.
